Australia Day

 and the

 ROCK STARS

26th January 2014

But that the dread of something missed after dive, the undiscovered grouper, from where whose bourne, most divers will return. That which troubles the gills and makes us rather drink those beers we have, than fly to others that we know not of. And thus the native hue of resolution be sickled over with the pale cast of vodka goon, and dives of great pith and moment, their currents turn awry and lose thy faith of action.

The weekend that Cyndi Lauper came to dive the bay and you know what they say "Girls just want to have fun". Well fun was had in plentiful doses. The weather was warm, the water a little bit cooler as a motley group of "Rock Stars" hunted out all this fishy, sharky and sealy from our comfortable mother-ship base Ocean Trek. Thanks to all the crew and fellow D2K rock stars for making this Australia Day Weekend one to remember.

Since I didn’t want to go to rehab, some guys kidnapped me and shut me up on a dive boat for 4 days….luckily my reputation preceded me and we partied hard :o) It was a great reunion, stars from many countries, genres and eras. Boy George was spied romancing with Stevie Nicks, Boney M got us all singing and I won’t tell you what Lady Gaga got up to…. I think the main culprit was Madonna with her self-raising flour :o)

A long weekend to remember although it may just take longer to recover! A fantastic party full of rock stars, even Seal made an appearance on the day of the party. Shame about the viz but that was mainly due to the rum, not the water. I do Proclaim it was worth the 500 miles to get here and the 500 miles to get back.

It was yet another wonderful Australia Day long weekend on Ocean Trek, great diving and great company. Who knew I would be spending the weekend in the company of so many rock stars Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Boy George, Bob Marley, Cyndi Lauper and Willie Nelson to name a few, definitely worth the trip from Graceland.

Absolutely wonderful care and service from the entire crew – esp Kylie’s and Sue’s great meals and the deck crew superb! Mick’s music collection made the party evening a total success. Those who dressed up did well and a well deserved win to Boy George. I am always amazed that despite the sometimes average conditions, the ocean can surprise with her wealth of treasures. It was delightful to watch a scallop swim and the baby and 5 other fiddler rays were amongst the highlights. Kathy & Peter

Had a brilliant time – fantastic crew and the guests weren’t bad either. Denise.

Thought I was at Woodstock on Sunday evening! Great hospitality, great company, lots of fun – thanks again. Peter Murphy.

Lots of fun with a great crew staff. Beautiful time!

Thanks for the great weekend. And the great party with all those fantastic Rock Stars. Sophie
